Colin was born on the 15th June, 1913 in Farina. Colin went to school at Kyre College (Scotch College) He was an old scholar.

Colin worked at Goode, Durrant & Murray for a few years, where he met Nell Rosewall Fry and they married on the 14th September, 1940 at the Methodist Church at Clarence Park,

Colin went into the Army in World War 2. Serving in Darwin, Queensland and then he served in Papua and New Guinea, for another six months after the war ended.

Colin accepted a position with Castrol Oil as their Northern Representative, going as far as Menindie, Wilcannia and Broken Hill in New South Wales. Colin and Nell lived in Gladstone, Nell was on all the committees and was a big part of the community.

Colin had to resign from Castrol at 49 years of age, he had a massive heart attack, in 1962. He had to take it easy. Then they bought the Drapery Store in Gladstone.

Colin died 12th December, 1997.

No known land ownership at Farina.
